A physician and former Green Beret has tweeted about the dangers of the ‘body positivity’ movement after Cosmopolitan featured an obese model on the cover of its UK edition.
The October issue of Cosmopolitan magazine in the UK will feature “plus-sized” model Tess Holliday, a “body positivity” activist who weighs almost 300lbs, meaning at a height of 5″5′ she is clinically obese.
TV host Piers Morgan slammed the decision to feature Holliday, writing that the cover “is just as dangerous & misguided as celebrating size zero models” given that Britain is battling an obesity crisis.
A church in Berlin was damaged after unknown attackers pelted stones at the building while shouting “Allahu Akbar!”
Six individuals threw stones at the windows of the St. Simeon Church in Kreuzberg on Wednesday night. The stones “damaged the building” according to one report and the culprits fled the scene.
The attackers shouted “Allahu Akbar,” which means ‘God is great’ in Arabic throughout the incident.
An added irony is that the church in question declared itself to be a ‘refugee-friendly’ church in 2015, offering advice to migrants in Arabic.
Former President Bill Clinton appeared mesmerized by vocalist Ariana Grande’s rear end as she took the stage to honor soul singer Aretha Franklin Friday.
Clinton, 72, was filmed during the funeral ceremony ogling Grande as she performed the Franklin song, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” leading many online to point out the perverted behavior.
“Gross,” one Twitter user said. “Watch Bill Clinton look Ariana Grande up and down when she sings at #ArethaFranklinFuneral and try not to throw up in your mouth.”
The Rev. Al Sharpton
hit back at President Donald Trump
for his comments
following the death
of legendary singer Aretha Franklin
The MSNBC host and civil rights advocate was one of several speakers at Franklin’s funeral in Detroit
on Friday. As he spoke in front of a crowd filled with the late icon’s family and friends, as well as celebrities and politicians, Sharpton poked fun at himself for misspelling “R-E-S-P-E-C-T”
on his Sunday TV show earlier this month.
“You know the other Sunday on my show, I misspelled ‘respect,’ and a lot of y’all corrected me,” he joked. “Now I want y’all to help me correct President Trump to teach him what it means.”
Funeral attendees started cheering, and many rose to their feet.

The poster, produced by the Young America’s Foundation, caught the attention of the “Bias Protocol Board” at Wisconsin’s Ripon College after appearing throughout the campus.
Featuring the phrase “Never Forget” and images of numerous terrorist attacks, the image was accused of creating a negative “environment” where “students from a Muslim background would feel singled out and/or harassed.”
Yet another scandal has reportedly broken out at Wells Fargo.
The bank has fired or suspended at least a dozen employees at its investment bank – Wells Fargo Securities – over allegations these individuals doctored after-hours dinner receipts and charged it to the company in violation of etiquette, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. The bank is also investigating dozens more.
These Wells Fargo employees are said to have regularly ordered dinner through online delivery services in violation of the company’s policy, which allows for dinner orders for employees who stay at work past a certain hour. Sources told the Journal that the individuals in question altered time stamps on their receipts in order to get reimbursed for the meals.
Facebook has apologised to the Anne Frank Center for removing an article it posted calling for more Holocaust education. The post featured an image of child Holocaust victims, naked and emaciated.
The Anne Frank Center asked Facebook on Wednesday to clarify why it had removed the post. It also highlighted that Facebook allows Holocaust denial on its platform, which it viewed as hypocrisy.
“While Facebook removes the AFC’s post promoting the need to educate on the past, it continues to allow pages and posts that directly deny the reality of the deaths of more than six million people. Holocaust denial dehumanizes people. It makes thousands feel unsafe. It violates the very standards Facebook lays out for it users. Yet these hate-filled propaganda pages remain,” an Anne Frank Center spokeswoman told Business Insider.
President Trump unleashed a tweet salvo directed at the “dishonest” mainstream media, specifically targeting the heads of CNN and NBC News, whom he christened “Little Jeff Z” and “Andy Lack(y),” respectively.
Trump asserted that both men are unfit for their positions, and reiterated his charge on Thursday morning that a large portion of corporate media is an “enemy of the people.”
“The hatred and extreme bias of me by CNN has clouded their thinking and made them unable to function,” Trump wrote in his first tweet of the day. “But actually, as I have always said, this has been going on for a long time. Little Jeff Z has done a terrible job, his ratings suck, and AT&T should fire him to save credibility!”
