After The Donald subreddit was banned by Reddit, users drew attention to the site’s policy on hate speech, which explicitly does not protect “people who are in the majority.”
Although it had been largely inactive for months after the owners set up TheDonald.win, Reddit banned the forum which was home to over 800,000 Trump supporters.
This occurred on the same day that streaming site Twitch temporarily suspended President Trump’s channel for “hate speech”.
An interesting caveat to emerge out of Reddit’s censorship is that the site’s section on Promoting Hate Based on Identity or Vulnerability explicitly states that hate speech is still permitted towards “people who are in the majority.”

A female cop who expressed anxiety about her McDonalds order being poisoned given the vitriolic hatred of police that has gripped America was turned into the butt of a joke by a Twitter mob who declared her “Officer Karen.”
In a clip uploaded to social media, the officer describes how she visited McDonalds on the way home from work but that she was made to wait a long time to receive her food order.
After being given only a coffee and no food, the officer states, “I told her don’t bother with the food because right now I’m too nervous to take it.”
L Brands CEO and founder Lex Wexner and former executive Ed Razek created a “culture of misogyny, bullying, and harassment” at Victoria’s Secret – already embroiled in scandals – according to a report Saturday from The New York Times.
Razek, a former executive at L Brands, which owns Victoria’s Secret, was the subject of repeated complaints at the company, according to The Times.
In one instance, Razek made lewd comments to supermodel Bella Hadid, telling her to “forget the panties” during a fitting for the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, three people who witnessed the interaction told The Times.

A new ad campaign from Procter & Gamble-owned razor brand Gillette is taking on toxic masculinity and calling on men to take action against sexual harassment and bullying.
The digital ad, titled “We Believe,” puts a twist on Gillette’s decades-old slogan, “The Best a Man Can Get.”
It addresses issues of harassment, bullying and men’s mental health, asking: “Is this the best a man can get?”
“We believe in the best in men. To say the right thing, to act the right way,” a narrator says over clips, both scripted and real, of men defending others from bullying or stopping friends from harassing women.
“The boys watching today will be the men of tomorrow,” the narrator says.
Millie Bobby Brown isn’t letting the haters get her down.
The Stranger Things actress, 14, received an onslaught of responses from social media commenters after she posted a photo of herself on Instagram on Saturday. In the photo, Brown posed in a form-fitting, snakeskin-print dress with neon yellow accents. She paired the body-con dress with strappy black high heeled-sandals, as she stood on a staircase tucking her hair behind her ear. In the second shot, she’s shown covering her mouth with her hand and laughing. “Write a caption,” she wrote alongside the images — and that’s when the internet started chiming in.
The mature outfit proved to be too much for some of Brown’s Instagram followers, who were quick to attack with comments claiming the actress is growing up way too fast.
“When you hit puberty and think you’re 25,” one commenter wrote. “Another said, “Act your age.” Someone else commented, “You’re like 12 where tf is your mother.”
