Ten People Are Arrested After Hundreds of Anti-Immigration Protesters Clashed With Police in Dover

Ten people have been arrested during clashes between anti-immigration protesters and police in Dover on Saturday after a record 409 desperate asylum seekers crossed the Channel in one day this week.

Hundreds of campaigners were confronted by groups of pro-migrant protesters in a counter-demonstration following the arrival of 5,600 refugees in small boats this year.

The protest had blocked the A20 dual carriageway, the main route in and out of the port, which has since been reopened.

Rival protests took place in the Kent town just days after a record 416 migrants made it to the UK after crossing the English Channel.

British Man Arrested For Filming Migrants Being Loaded Onto Coaches

A British YouTuber was arrested after he tried to live stream footage of boat migrants being loaded onto coaches in Dover before they are taken to be accommodated in hotels at taxpayer expense.

A citizen reporter who goes by the name Active Patriot was recording the scene from a public car park when he was aggressively approached by police.

“I’m showing the world what is going on mate,” says the reporter, to which the officer responds, ” I think the world knows.”

“Do they really? They don’t know what extent, though do they?” Active Patriot responds.

At first the officer claims he is arresting the man for trespassing but then suddenly changes the reason to “breaching the peace.”

The flow of irregular migrants attempting to reach the United Kingdom increased last year, despite strengthened patrols of the UK border force having been deployed in the area.

The UK Border Force officials have spotted “a record number” of migrant boats off the coast of East Sussex earlier in the morning, Kent News reported. The eight boats containing around 30 people were picked up by the border force at Winchelsea Seaside.

RNLI lifeboats from Dover, Dungeness and Rye had been involved in the incidents, along with coastguard rescue teams from Folkestone, Langdon and Rye Bay, the Marine and Coastguard Agency stated.
