If food and medicine shortages, 14,000% annual inflation and protests wherein citizens throw their own feces at the country’s leaders wasn’t bad enough, things are likely to get worse in Venezuela after Sunday’s election.
President Nicolas Maduro has no real threat in the election, analysts say, as any legitimate challengers have either fled the country, been arrested or been banned from running. While some polls do show opposition party candidate Henri Falcon leading Maduro – who has around a 20% approval rating – few believe security forces overseeing the vote will allow a free and fair election.
Turnout is also likely to be incredibly low, not only because few believe their votes matter, but also because of a climate of fear. Asdrubal R. Oliveros, an economist and director of macroeconomic research firm Ecoanalitica, notes that opinion polls show a significant percentage of the population thinks their vote is not secret and that more than half believe that their social welfare benefits could be cut if Maduro’s government loses or if they are found to have voted against him.
California used to be trumpeted as the cutting edge of American culture.
It still is, except the culture is now all about censoring free speech.
California Senator Richard Pan, who was behind the infamous 2015 law mandating vaccinations for schoolchildren (SB277), has stepped up to the plate and introduced another bill.
This one would clamp down on criticism of ANY Official Story.
The bill is titled “SB1424 Internet: social media: false information: strategic plan.”
It targets social media based in California. But as you read the bill, you see it appears to define social media as any Internet blog, website, or communication.
The mainstream media deflects attention from where power resides: corporations, not with the leaders of the free world.
The arguments posed by Chris Hedges, that the U.S. is neither a democracy nor a republic but a totalitarian state that can now assassinate its citizens at will, are pertinent ones. Scary ones. Especially as consecutive governments seem equally as impotent to invoke any real change for the States. If the media won’t stand up to the marionettes who pull the strings of the conglomerates causing deep, indelible polarisation in the world abound; then so we must act. Together.

A village in Illinois has declared a ban on “assault weapons,” and has given gun owners 60 days to turn them all in.
After June 13, residents of the Village of Deerfield have 60 days to sell, render inoperable or turn their “assault weapons” over to local police.
“Any person who is found to have violated this Article shall be fined not less than $250 and not more than $1,000 for each offense,” reads the ordinance penalty, “and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.”
Google and YouTube continue to ban conservatives for comparing anti-2nd Amendment activists with the Nazi’s.
They have no problem, however, allowing videos that compare President Donald Trump with Adolf Hitler.
Propaganda Porn For the Ignorant
A YouTube prankster who was convicted over a video where he trained his pug to do a Nazi salute has clashed with the creator of Father Ted.
Mark Meechan – also known as ‘Count Dankula’ – was convicted last week of sending ‘grossly offensive’ messages at Airdrie Sheriff Court, and is awaiting sentencing.
Meechan’s conviction as divided many – with some saying the conviction represents an attack on free speech.
Others, such as Father Ted and Black Books creator Graham Linehan, described Meechan as ‘alt right’, and said the conviction should stand because Meechan’s videos were not comedy.
Meechan responded by drawing attention to a scene in which Father Ted appears to impersonate Hitler, and is shown surrounded by Nazi memorabilia.
The “Hitler Youth” invasion of Washington D.C. took place today as young fascists-in-training were corralled into the nation’s capitol to demand that government authoritarians strip away the civil liberties of all law-abiding Americans in the name of “gun control.”
Just like Hitler Youth enthusiasts, these fascists-in-training are told they’re “saving lives” for “a better future,” and that the only thing standing in their way is a bunch of violent gun owners who want to murder every baby in sight. (The irony of all these left-wingers actually condoning the abortion murder of babies, of course, is completely missed in all this.)
What none of these children are being told, of course, is that Hitler took away gun rights from the Jews before exterminating six million of them in the Holocaust. It’s so much easier to commit genocide, Hitler discovered, when the people you’re tying to murder can’t fight back.
Starting in May, Chinese citizens who rank low on the country’s burgeoning “social credit” system will be in danger of being banned from buying plane or train tickets for up to a year, according to statements recently released by the country’s National Development and Reform Commission.
With the social credit system, the Chinese government rates citizens based on things like criminal behavior and financial misdeeds, but also on what they buy, say, and do. Those with low “scores” have to deal with penalties and restrictions. China has been working towards rolling out a full version of the system by 2020, but some early versions of it are already in place.
Previously, the Chinese government had focused on restricting the travel of people with massive amounts of debt, like LeEco and Faraday Future founder Jia Yueting, who made the Supreme People’s Court blacklist late last year.
The new travel restrictions are the latest addition to this growing patchwork of social engineering, which has already imposed punishments on more than seven million citizens. And there’s a broad range when it comes to who can be flagged. Citizens who have spread “false information about terrorism,” caused “trouble” on flights, used expired tickets, or were caught smoking on trains could all be banned, according to Reuters.
YouTube star Jake Paul has some hot takes about gun control, and they’re pretty much all awful.
Paul initially garnered outrage online because he didn’t come out in favor of gun control after speaking to Senator Marco Rubio.
Well, he quickly compensated for that decision, and went full tilt with some terrible ideas. His ideas include:
1. be at least 21 to buy a gun
2. Go through a 6 month minimum course (similar to a drivers license course)
3. Professional Mental Heath evaluation
4. Ban Gun shows now!
5. 30 day wait period after purchase to receive firearm
Britain First’s leader Paul Golding and deputy leader Jayda Fransen have been jailed.
Golding was handed an 18-week sentence and has been ordered to pay £500 in compensation. He will serve half of this before being eligible for release.
Fransen has been handed two 18-week sentences and an 18-week sentence to be served concurrently, for a total of 36 weeks.
She has been ordered to pay compensation amounting to £2,000.
The pair were found guilty guilty of religiously-aggravated harassment earlier today.
“I think this is a very sad day for British justice,” Jayda Fransen said over noise in the courtroom. “Everything I did was to protect the children of this country.”
