Is this crackdown on people protesting a draconian police state happening in China or Australia? It’s becoming a distinction without a difference as the Australian state of Victoria. Coincidentally Victoria took $1 TRILLION from the Chinese for “infrastructure” — the ONLY Australian state to take ANY money. And it’s an “infrastructure” that Chinese dictator XI would be proud to call his own.
“Freedom Day”, the protest against draconian police measures, has now taken place. It is the event for which a pregnant woman was manhandled by police, handcuffed in her home and taken away in tears, fore merely posting about it on Facebook.
In spite of threats from the police, 200 people showed up to stand for the liberties that just 6 months ago western societies took for granted. Initial reports are 15-17 arrested, 150-160 fined by police.
Assistant Commissioner Luke Cornelius had made it clear that the right to peacefully redress grievances would NOT be respected, but punished.
A survey conducted by College Fix recently has found that a majority of conservative students say they will ‘self censor’ around others so as not to offend or upset leftists.
“With the current political climate, do you expect to self-censor yourself in class this semester so your professors or peers don’t take offense at your ideas?” the survey asked.
A total of 54 percent of conservatives said they would indeed keep their political views to themselves for this reason.
On the flip side, only 15% of those who identified as Democrats said they would temper their political opinions so as not to cause friction.

Despite Censorship Cries, Conservatives Self-Censor to Appease Leftists
Facebook censors almost 90 percent of ‘hate speech’ before it’s allowed to circulate, CEO Mark Zuckerberg told Congress at Wednesday’s Big Tech hearing, responding to pressure from Democrats to submit to the advertiser boycott.
“We’re able to proactively identify 89 percent of the hate speech that we take down before, I think, it’s even seen by other people,” Zuckerberg told the Antitrust Subcommittee of the US House of Representatives on Wednesday.
The statement was in response to Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland) pressuring Facebook to “join the civil rights movement” by submitting to the demands of the Stop Hate For Profit campaign, an advertising boycott accusing Facebook of tolerating “widespread hate” on the platform.
Columnist John Kass has defied “cancel culture” at the Chicago Tribune after members of the journalists’ union attacked him for criticizing left-wing billionaire George Soros and his backing of “progressive” prosecutors across the country.
Last week, Kass wrote about “an overwhelming sense of lawlessness” in Democrat-run cities, and noted: “[T]hese Democratic cities are also where left-wing billionaire George Soros has spent millions of dollars to help elect liberal social justice warriors as prosecutors. He remakes the justice system in urban America, flying under the radar.”
That statement is entirely accurate.
In 2018, Breitbart News reported that Soros was involved in funding the campaigns of “progressive” district attorneys across the nation. Mainstream media outlets also reported it: the Los Angeles Times noted that Soros was “spending big to help decide who’s your next D.A.,” and that some of the funding was “hidden.”
On Monday night, as President Donald Trump began posting about the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 following a viral video of a doctor touting its ability to not only treat but prevent the disease, Twitter removed at least three of the president’s tweets, leaving no trace of what the president wrote on the social media platform.
Tensions between the big tech website and President Trump appear to have reached a new height, as the platform has now censored several posts by President Trump that appear to have promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.
The president began sharing articles and tweets promoting the use of hydroxychloroquine after a viral video of frontline doctors revealing their experiences treating COVID-19 in the field.

A video shot by Campus Reform shows young Americans vowing to give up their right to free speech in order to make other people feel more comfortable and avoid offending them.
Reporter Eduardo Neret asked several students how they felt about their social media accounts being monitored by schools and universities, and the majority are fine with it.
One girl in the video tells the reporter “I definitely think they should be monitoring the hate speech because that shouldn’t be allowed.”

150 of the world’s top intellectuals, authors and activists have signed an open letter decrying leftist cancel culture, censorship and the totalitarian march of “ideological conformity.”
Signatories include liberal icon Noam Chomsky and ‘Satanic Verses’ author Salman Rushdie.
The letter, which was published by Harpers Magazine, is also signed by J.K. Rowling, Fareed Zakaria, Garry Kasparov, and, perhaps surprisingly, feminist activist Gloria Steinem.
“The democratic inclusion we want can be achieved only if we speak out against the intolerant climate that has set in on all sides,” states the letter, highlighting how “the free exchange of information and ideas, the lifeblood of a liberal society, is daily becoming more constricted” as a result of “an intolerance of opposing views, a vogue for public shaming and ostracism, and the tendency to dissolve complex policy issues in a blinding moral certainty.”
Amazon has removed the first part of Killing Free Speech, a documentary about the threats to freedom of expression posed by Antifa and its allies in the media and Democrat parties. A second part of the documentary, focused on the power of Big Tech, will shortly be released.
This is the second time that the documentary’s creator, independent Danish-American conservative filmmaker Michael Hansen, has been censored by Amazon. As Breitbart News reported last year, Hansen’s previous documentary, about mass migration and Islam in Europe, was also censored by the Big Tech platform.
In an entirely expected development, media hit pieces against pro-free speech social network Parler began after the site attracted a ton of new followers.
The website’s engagement levels have skyrocketed in recent weeks as many more people choose to transition away from Twitter, which has become a cesspit of censorship and a platform for left-wing extremists to engage in the mob harassment and doxxing of conservatives.
Numerous members of Congress in the United States and Conservative MPs in the UK have also started signing up to the network, prompting anxiety amongst Silicon Valley that Parler could eventually become a genuine competitor.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson warned Americans about the rising power of the Black Lives Matter organization, noting it can no longer be criticized without serious social or personal consequences.
“The media, in their relentlessly fawning coverage, usually describe Black Lives Matter as an activist group or protest movement,” Carlson said Monday on his show “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“But that’s deception by understatement. Black Lives Matter is not a collection of marchers with signs. It’s not a conventional political lobby like Planned Parenthood or the NRA…It is working to remake the country and then to control it. It’s a political party.”
