JK Rowling: Gay People Being ‘Shunted Towards Hormones and Surgery’ is ‘New Kind of Conversion Therapy’

Harry Potter author Joanne ‘JK’ Rowling has again been targeted by trans activists for warning that children believed to be “trans” should not necessarily be “shunted towards hormones and surgery”.

“I’ve ignored fake tweets attributed to me and [retweeted] widely. I’ve ignored porn tweeted at children on a thread about their art. I’ve ignored death and rape threats. I’m not going to ignore this,” wrote the Scotland-based author in the first tweet of an 11-part thread responding to an individual who accused her of “pivoting to supporting those who call people who take mental health medication ‘lazy’.

“When you lie about what I believe about mental health medication… you cross a line,” she said, detailing her own “mental health challenges” and past use of anti-depressants.

Harry Potter Fans Boycott JK Rowling For Defending Biology

Harry Potter fan sites are shunning Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling after she said only women can menstruate.

Two biggest Harry Potter fan sites — Leaky Caldron and Mugglenet — said they will no longer provide links to Rowling’s personal website, cover her personal endeavors, or use photos of her. The fan sites also said they will censor the author’s social media posts.

In June, J.K Rowling faced backlash after suggesting on Twitter that only women can menstruate. The author later clarified her initial remarks by stating, “If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased.”

JK Rowling Says She Has Received Thousands Of Emails Of Concern Over ‘Aims And Methods Of Trans Activism’

Author JK Rowling took to Twitter once again Sunday and posted another string of tweets condemning the trans-activist movement, noting that she has received thousands of emails of support from people who are concerned it is being used to further sexual assault.

Rowling’s posts came in response to a commentary piece by Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle over the weekend, charging that Rowling is using her history of sexual assault, which she revealed in a recent essay, as “justification” for “discriminating” against transgender people.

Russell-Moyle apologised to Rowling after receiving a backlash over the piece.

“JK Rowling’s first disclosures of domestic abuse and sexual assault in her recent article on trans issues were heartfelt and must have been hard to say.” the MP wrote.

Stephen King Says ‘Trans Women Are Women’ Amid JK Rowling’s Controversy Over ‘Menstruation’ Tweets

Bestselling Harry Potter author Joanne Rowling received serious backlash at the beginning of June after defending sex as a biological category.

Her statements, however, were interpreted as “transphobic” by many transgender activists and criticised by public speakers, including the Harry Potter star himself, Daniel Radcliffe.

The Shining author Stephen King has weighed in on the controversy surrounding British writer JK Rowling by saying in a Twitter reply that “trans women are women”.

Rowling landed in hot water in June after commenting on a Devex article titled “Creating a more equal post-COVID-19 word for people who menstruate”. The writer mockingly asked whether it was “women” that the article was actually referring to. However, she soon received severe condemnation for her remark, with many accusing her of “transphobia” in relation to transgender men, who also menstruate.

Woke Authors Quit JK Rowling’s Agency After It Refuses To Cave To Trans Mob

At least four authors have severed ties with the literary agency representing them and JK Rowling, after it refused to distance itself from remarks made by the Harry Potter author on transgender issues.

The authors, all identifying under the LGBTQIA umbrella, issued a joint statement resigning from The Blair Partnership that said “This decision is not made lightly, and we are saddened and disappointed it has come to this.”

“After J. K. Rowling’s — who is also signed to the agency — public comments on transgender issues, we reached out to the agency with an invitation to reaffirm their stance to transgender rights and equality.” the statement further explains.

Laurence Fox has criticised stars of the Harry Potter franchise who turned against JK Rowling for her comments about transgender issues.

Rowling, who has made anti-trans comments in the past, appeared to take issue with a headline about “people who menstruate” and later argued that discussion of gender identity invalidated biological sex.

She also wrote a 3,700-word article on her website explaining that she was a survivor of sexual assault, which is what helped convince her of the need to maintain women-only spaces.

Her essay was not supported by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson or Rupert Grint, who all rose to fame through their roles in the Harry Potter films. “Transgender women are women,” Radcliffe stated in his own essay. “Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.”

Staff at Publishing house Hachette have threatened to quit unless the company cancels its association with JK Rowling and scraps plans to publish her new book because they argue the author is ‘transphobic’.

The Daily Mail reported that “Staff in the children’s department at Hachette announced they were no longer prepared to work on the book” over Rowling’s recent assertions that biological sex is real and that there are only two genders.

The Mail further reported that the publishing staffers “said they were opposed to her comments and wanted to show support for the trans lobby.”

“These staff are all very ‘woke’, mainly in their twenties and early thirties, and apparently it is an issue they feel very strongly about.” the report adds.

According to an ‘insider’ “It was a handful of staff, and they are entitled to their views. If they were being asked to edit a book on domestic abuse, and they were a survivor of domestic abuse, of course they would never be forced to work on it. But this is a children’s fairy tale. It is not the end of the world. They will all be having chats with their managers.”

JK Rowling Attacked on Social Media For Defending Biology

‘Harry Potter’ author JK Rowling has responded to accusations of transphobia in an open letter presenting reasons she is concerned about ‘toxic’ trans-activism, drawing a fresh avalanche of criticism.

“I know it’s time to explain myself on an issue surrounded by toxicity. I write this without any desire to add to that toxicity,”Rowling wrote at the beginning of her 4,000-plus word essay, published on Wednesday.

The novelist has been labeled a “TERF” – a trans-exclusionary radical feminist – on several occasions, most recently thanks to a tweet questioning a story that referred to “people who menstruate,” declining to instead characterize such people as women.

That position got Rowling targeted not only by activists on social media, but even by some of the actors from film adaptations of her work. This includes Daniel Radcliffe, who became famous for playing Harry Potter in the movies, Emma Watson (Hermione) and Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander) from the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ adaptations.
