Fox News contributor Trey Gowdy told “Sunday Morning Futures” that he assumes there will be no additional indictments arising from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the investigation into links between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign.
Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith pleaded guilty last month in federal court to making a false statement in the first criminal case arising from Durham’s probe, but Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor and chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said not to assume that more indictments are on the way.
That doesn’t mean, however, that those in high positions at the FBI and Department of Justice will not face political punishment, he said.
The former South Carolina congressman made the comments after host Maria Bartiromo noted that “there is concern that John Durham is dragging his feet.”
OUTRAGE: Durham Clears Swamp Creature Brennan of Criminal Activity
U.S. Attorney John Durham has reportedly cleared former CIA Director John Brennan of wrongdoing in his ongoing investigation into the origins of the debunked Russia collusion hoax narrative.
“Earlier today [John] Brennan was informed by [U.S. Attorney John] Mr. Durham that he is not a subject or a target of a criminal investigation and that he is only a witness to events that are under review,” said Nick Shapiro, a Brennan spokesman after Brennan’s 8-hour DOJ interview. “The interview was conducted at CIA headquarters and lasted eight hours.”
“Brennan welcomed the opportunity to answer Mr. Durham’s questions related to a wide range of intelligence-related activities undertaken by CIA before the November 2016 presidential election as well as the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) published in early January 2017. Brennan provided details on the efforts made by the Intelligence Community to understand and disrupt the actions taken by Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.”

President Trump’s recent actions indicate the time may be very close where the Deep State and the Obama gang might finally have to face the music.
On Friday we reported that President Trump spoke to workers at a Whirlpool factory in Clyde, Ohio, to tout his efforts to restore America’s manufacturing base. During the speech Trump also spoke about his work to reform prescription drug pricing by the pharmaceutical industry.
While speaking about reducing drug prices by cutting out the middlemen, Trump dropped this line saying, “So, I have a lot of enemies out there. This might be the last time you’ll see me for awhile.”
This was a very unusual and purposeful statement that he made.
This might only be the beginning.
Ex-Colleagues See Durham Dropping Bombshells Before Labor Day
Devin Nunes: Durham’s Russia Investigation in Danger of Getting ‘Buried’
With an eye toward the 2020 election, Rep. Devin Nunes warned that U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation could get stifled.
If former Vice President Joe Biden defeats President Trump and people don’t see accountability, the California Republican cautioned on Thursday, there will be unprecedented unrest.
“What I worry about is, this next election is critical because if Biden somehow was to pull off a victory here, all this will be buried, and we will then be left with a totally corrupt Department of Justice and FBI that will never get fixed, and it will take this country into a level of chaos that we have not seen if these prosecutions are not brought and people are not held to justice and put in jail,” Nunes told Fox Business host Lou Dobbs.
Nunes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, is leading a congressional inquiry into misconduct during the Russia investigation and has made several criminal referrals to the Justice Department. He argues that it was the Democrats, not the Trump campaign, who were colluding with Russia to develop ex-British spy Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier that was used by the FBI.
Investigative reporter John Solomon says there’s a “lot of activity” in U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigation of the Obama administration’s probe of now-debunked claims of Trump-Russia collusion during the 2016 election.
“My sources tell me there’s a lot of activity. I’m seeing, personally, activity behind the scenes [showing] the Department of Justice is trying to bring those first indictments,” Solomon said in an interview with the Fox Business Network’s Lou Dobbs reported by the Washington Examiner.
“And I would look for a time around Labor Day to see the first sort of action by the Justice Department.”
In a series of tweets today, Sen.Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) described the depth of the “Deep State” as so great that its members “get away with political crimes.”
In one tweet, Grassley referred to recent remarks by Attorney General Bill Barr asserting that President Donald Trump was indeed the target of an “organized effort” to remove him from office.
Grassley fears U.S .Attorney John Durham’s ongoing investigation into the origins of the Russia hoax may avoid making a final determination or bringing prosecutions, so as not to influence the upcoming election.
John Durham, the lead investigator looking into the FBI’s 2016 Crossfire Hurricane spy operation against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign may deliver several indictments against Obama-era officials, according to investigative journalist John Solomon.
In an interview Friday with Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs, Solomon explained that new materials released by the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the FISA abuses against Trump’s campaign reveal the surveillance operation against him was far more corrupt than previously believed.
“In my worst nightmare I could not have imagined what would come out this week,” Solomon told Dobbs. “The level of information that the FBI had that raised red flags that they should have never not even for a moment entertained Chris Steele as a human source as a confidential informant is now overwhelming.”
Former CIA Director John Brennan is the main focus of prosecutor John Durham’s investigation and several intelligence officials have testified against him in front of a grand jury, according to US attorney Joe diGenova.
“One of the more interesting revelations is what I have confirmed with my sources, is that John Brennan is in fact the focus, the main focus of the [Durham] investigation,” di Genova said Tuesday on The Howie Carr Show.
“And, a number of former intelligence officers have been interviewed and apparently testified about a series of questions involving the production of the famous assessment done after the election which of course was a phony assessment.”
CIA analysts involved in the intelligence assessment of Russia’s activities during the 2016 US election have begun to hire attorneys, as Attorney General William Barr expands his investigation into the origins of the Russia probe, led by US Attorney John Durham.
The prosecutor conducting the review, Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham, has expressed his intent to interview a number of current and former intelligence officials involved in examining Russia’s effort to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, including former CIA Director John Brennan and former director of national intelligence James Clapper, Brennan told NBC News. –NBC
