Judge Orders Kim Gardner to Turn Over Records of Communications With Soros in Eric Greitens Case

gardner3

John Solomon, founder of Just The News, had previously filed a sunshine law request for the records in July of 2019.

According to Just The News, the request query “sought the release of roughly two and a half years’ worth of communications between Gardner, her staff, and numerous individuals such as George Soros, the Missouri Workforce Housing Association, state Representatives Stacy Newman and Jay Barnes, and others.”

Gardner refused to acknowledge the sunshine request until it became an unavoidable topic of public conversation, at which point she claimed the requested records were exempt from being turned over according to Missouri transparency provisions.

Judge Judge Christopher McGraugh ruled in favor of Solomon on Thursday, scoring a major victory for Greitens. Under the judge’s order, the Circuit Attorney’s office is now required to turn over the documents.

Missouri AG Intervenes in Case Against McCloskeys

breaking

Editor note: A previous version of this story suggested all charges were dropped against the couple.  That is not yet formally the case.  The Missouri AG is still seeking to dismiss the case.  We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this breaking story as new details become available.

ST. LOUIS, MO – Kim Gardner, Circuit Attorney for St. Louis, brought charges against a local couple last month who were caught on video brandishing weapons on the porch of their mansion. Now the Missouri Attorney General is stepping in.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey’s response to a mob of protesters tearing down the gate to a private driveway and trespassing across their yard went viral.

The McCloskey’s who are both attorneys, were eating dinner on their patio when several hundred Black Lives Matter protesters, tore down a gate to gain access to a private community that was clearly marked as private with “No Trespassing” signs.

BOMBSHELL: St. Louis Prosecutor’s Office Busted Altering Evidence

The pistol Patricia McCloskey waved at protesters who broke down a gate to trespass on their private street was a non-operable ‘prop’ used during a lawsuit they were involved in, so a member of Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner’s staff ordered the crime lab to disassemble and reassemble the gun – allowing them to classify it as “capable of lethal use” in charging documents filed Monday, according to KSDK5.

According to the report, crime lab workers photographed the disassembly and reassembly of the pistol.

The McCloskeys attorney, Joel Schwartz, told KSDK that the St. Louis couple intentionally misplaced the firing pin on the gun, rendering it inoperable. They turned the pistol in to their former attorney Al Watkins following the incident last month.

“It’s disheartening to learn that a law enforcement agency altered evidence in order to prosecute an innocent member of the community,” said Schwartz.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner Must Be Investigated and Stopped

The great strength of our nation is that no person is above the law. Not even those who enforce the law.

That’s why it’s imperative that the state of Missouri begin investigating the St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner. Anyone following the twists and turns of the prosecution of Missouri Governor Eric Greitens won’t need much persuading. In that case, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner has clearly, repeatedly and consistently violated the ethics of her profession and brought disgrace upon the Circuit Attorney’s office. She has skirted and flouted the law in ways that are truly unimaginable. And she needs to be removed from office in order to send a message to prosecutors around the nation: you abuse your offices power at your own peril.

Many have focused on her mishandling of the Governor’s felony indictment. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Kim Gardner’s other prosecutions, and the day-to-day mismanagement of her office, share the same shameful pattern. She has ignored cases that were easy wins, prosecuted cops with what looks like outright malice, and lost staff and personnel at an alarming rate.

The St. Louis couple who confronted Black Lives Matter protesters with firearms after they breached a gated community have been hit with weapons charges, with a city attorney insisting the demonstration was peaceful.

The two residents, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, were charged on Monday following an incident late last month in which the couple met protesters outside their upscale home wielding firearms after demonstrators entered their private community to protest at the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson.

“It is illegal to wave weapons in a threatening manner at those participating in a nonviolent protest, and while we are fortunate this situation did not escalate into deadly force, this type of conduct is unacceptable in St. Louis,” wrote circuit attorney Kimberly Gardner in a statement.

St. Louis city police applied for search warrants in the McCloskey case on Tuesday.

The police already searched the McCloskey home and took a rifle on Friday night.

The McCloskey attorney said the hand gun that was confiscated on Friday was dis-chargeable.

KMOV reported:

St. Louis police have applied for warrants in the case of the Central West End couple who pointed guns at protesters on their street.

St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden on Tuesday told News 4 they applied for warrants but did not elaborate on what those warrants allege or who they are against. The guns were turned over to police as evidence.

Missouri attorney Mark McCloskey, who along with his wife Patricia brandished legally-owned firearms when confronted by Black Lives Matter protesters at their St. Louis home last month, told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Monday that “the rumor is that we are going to be indicted shortly” over the incident.

Last week, authorities executed a search warrant at the McCloskeys’ home in connection with the June 28 incident. Mark McCloskey told host Tucker Carlson that the officers were “almost apologetic” when they served the warrant.

5 On Your Side has learned St. Louis police officers executed a search warrant Friday evening at the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the Central West end couple who confronted protesters with weapons in June.

Sources told 5 On Your Side that police seized one of the weapons, the rifle, from the couple and they told police their attorney has the pistol seen in photos.

5 On Your Side is not aware of any charges against the McCloskeys at this time, and the warrant served Friday evening was just for the guns.

Late Friday evening 5 On Your Side confirmed attorney Al Watkins was no longer representing the McCloskeys, and that attorney Joel Schwartz had taken over. Schwartz confirmed a search warrant was issued at 8 p.m. Friday night, but would not say what was taken from the home. Schwartz also said he does not know where the handgun is.
