Thousands of people in 16 California cities took to the streets on Saturday to protest Gov. Gavin Newsom’s curfew order requiring people to stay at home after 10 p.m. Carrying Trump/Pence flags and “Open up California” banners, the crowds began to gather at 10:01 p.m., including in Huntington Beach and San Clemente.
“Governor Newsom’s sweeping edicts by moving 95 percent of California to purple tier and a curfew is an abuse of power,” Syndie Ly, who helped organize the protest and was on the ground in San Clemente, told Breitbart News. “We are all responsible adults so we can make our individual choices.”
“This movement is about us rising up for our freedom and against Governor Newsom’s overreaching edicts,” Ly said.
Some CA County Sheriffs Will Not Enforce Gavin Newsom’s Curfew Order
In the aftermath of getting caught red-handed violating his own travel and gathering restrictions, California Governor Gavin Newsom has exempted an entire industry’s workforce from those restrictions citing them as “essential workers.” But are they, really?
Newsom was recently forced to eat crow after attending a friend and political adviser’s 50th birthday party at a swank, upscale Napa County restaurant for a $400 a plate dinner. Newsom apologized after being publicly humiliated by the San Francisco Chronicle.
Astoundingly, Newsom then refused to intervene when many in his own State Legislature opted to attend a summit produced by a San Diego firm that violated the travel ban in place to host the summit in Maui, Hawaii.
Newsom has issued a new round of COVID-related restrictions, including a stay-at-home order, a curfew, limiting the size of private venue gatherings, and travel bans.
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Thursday issued a curfew for most California counties.
The curfew will affect 41 out of 58 counties in California currently in the most restrictive “purple tier.”
Earlier this week Newsom said he was looking at studies from other countries about curfews including France and Saudi Arabia.
Yes, Saudi Arabia, where they behead women in public.
The 41 counties in the purple tiers will be under a curfew which will be in effect from 10 PM to 5 AM starting on Saturday, November 21 until December 21st.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said he’s considering imposing some form of curfew to help slow the spread of Covid-19 after a surge in infections forced the state to tighten social-distancing restrictions in 40 of 58 counties.
“We’re considering the notion of a curfew,” Newsom told reporters at a Covid-19 briefing on Monday. “We are assessing that.” He added that he will examine studies from France, Germany and Saudi Arabia on the efficacy of curfews before making a decision.
California is tapping the “emergency brakes” under its Covid-19 protocols after seeing a doubling of new cases in the past 10 days, Newsom said. In just the past week, the number of counties in the highest tier for infection rates, purple, jumped to 41 from 13. That includes most all of Southern California and coastal areas, encompassing 94 percent of the state’s population. San Francisco County is among 11 counties in the second tier, red, while just six counties are in the bottom two tiers, orange and yellow, down from 23 a week ago.

In an incident that may remind readers of Nancy Pelosi’s quarantine-time visit to a San Francisco Hair Salon, California Gov Gavin Newsom has been busted attending a swanky party at one of California’s top restaurants.
According to the SF Chronicle, Newsom attended a birthday party for one of his top advisors at the French Laundry, the Michelin-starred restaurant run by Thomas Keller The paper noted that the party included members of “several households”, in violation of the recommendations delivered by Newsom’s administration, which has urged Californians to retreat to their personal bubbles and only leave for “essential” purposes. Current state regulations limit any type of social gathering to members of no more than three households, tops.

If you live in California, Thanksgiving is going to look a lot different this year, and be a lot less fun. The California Department of Public Health released its new guidelines for Turkey Day, and each rule is more insane than the last.
See below for some of the more outlandish guidelines that Californians will have to comply with next month as they try to kick off the holiday season.
ll gatherings must include no more than three households, including hosts and guests, and must be held outdoors, lasting for two hours of less.
“The longer the duration [of the gathering], the risk of transmission increases,” the statement noted.
“Gatherings that occur outdoors are significantly safer than indoor gatherings. All gatherings must be held outside. Attendees may go inside to use restrooms as long as the restrooms are frequently sanitized,” the statement added.

Good news for Disneyland lovers: You’ll be able to get into Disney’s California Adventure soon. While the theme parks remain closed — and per this week’s guidance from California Gov. Gavin Newsom, won’t be opening anytime soon — Disney has found a loophole to get people into one of them. In November, Disneyland will be opening Buena Vista Street, the California Adventure counterpart to Disneyland’s Main Street U.S.A., for dining and shopping.
Disneyland posted a statement today saying that next month (the exact date is not yet known), they’ll be opening the front section of California Adventure, which will function like an expansion of the current offerings at Downtown Disney. Stores like Elias & Co. and Julius Katz & Sons will be open for shopping, and Trolley Treats — where the famous and highly coveted Disneyland Candy Canes are sold during the holidays — will be open for counter service.
One of California Adventure’s iconic dining destinations will be open, too: Carthay Circle Lounge, attached to the fine dining Carthay Circle restaurant, will be serving a new menu of cocktails and food with just-added outdoor dining. Smokejumpers Grill, next to the Soarin’ ride, will also be open.
Disneyland, Universal Studios, and the other members of the California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA) are urging California Governor Gavin Newsom to reopen theme parks across the state as soon as possible. In a statement released Monday by CAPA executive director Erin Guerrero, the group revealed it’s hoping to get residents back to work quickly in a safe manner. In addition to representing Disneyland and Universal Studios, the Sacramento-based organization represents Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, SeaWorld San Diego, Legoland California, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and California’s Great America.
All locations have been shuttered since March as Los Angeles and the surrounding area served as a hotbed for coronavirus activity.
“California’s amusement parks urge the governor to issue amusement park guidelines expeditiously so these vital community attractions can reopen their doors in a responsible manner and get residents back to work,” Guerrero’s statement read.
Now that genius California lawmakers have mandated that all cars in the state must be electric by 2035, it seems like a good time to ask what, exactly, this is going to do to the state’s already fragile power grid.
In what will likely come as a surprise to lawmakers who we can almost guarantee didn’t think about this in advance, it turns out that electrifying all of the state’s vehicles could be “an immense burden” on the state’s grid, according to Bloomberg.
In fact, this past week’s executive order could drive up power demands in the state by as much as 9.5% over the next 10 years and 25% by 2035. This could be a “nightmare” scenario for a state where power is often so tight that rolling blackouts are ordered to prevent the system from collapsing during heat waves.
Additionally, if everyone were to plug in their vehicles at the same time, at night, the problem could be concentrated and even worse.

CA ‘Green Energy’ Scam Designed to Get Public to Submit to Total Control
California Governor Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday that the state will ban sales of gas-powered vehicles, effective in 2035. Newsom said that the “audacious” goal was necessary to achieve the state’s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045.
Newsom said that his new executive order would “eliminate” the sales of “internal combustion engines” and move to electric vehicles — a move that he said would create jobs and allow California to “dominate” the market, and address climate change. Those who currently own gas-powered vehicles would still be allowed to operate them and to sell them on the used market.
2035 happens to be the same year that former Vice President Joe Biden has set as a deadline for the U.S. to eliminate fossil fuels from electricity production, five years later than originally proposed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex (D-NY) in her “Green New Deal.” Ocasio-Cortez led the climate change panel on the “Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force” earlier this year.
Newsom cited ongoing wildfires, as well several recent record-breaking high temperatures in the state, in explaining his push for “ambitious goals” — though he did not explain how reducing local emissions would affect global climate enough to affect local temperatures. California currently emits 1% of the world’s carbon emissions despite being the sixth-biggest economy.
