Secretary of State Mike Pompeo agreed that there will indeed be a smooth White House transition — to a second term for President Trump.
When asked Tuesday by the press if the State Department was prepared to engage with the Biden transition team, Pompeo dismissed that notion, saying Trump will ultimately prevail when all legal ballots are counted.
“We’re ready. The world is watching what’s taking place. We’re going to count all the votes, when the process is complete there will be electors selected. There’s a process. The Constitution lays it out pretty clearly.”
A triggered reporter followed up, asking: “So you believe there’s widespread voter fraud? That the reports we’re getting from Pennsylvania, from Michigan, showing vote totals in massive leads, or significant leads with 99% reporting are going to be overturned and the United States failed to conduct a fraudulent-free election?”
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo welcomed the release of Cuban journalist Roberto de Jesús Quiñones Haces from a year in prison on Sunday, calling Havana “disgraceful” for punishing the writer for covering religious persecution on the island.
Police imprisoned Quiñones on September 11, 2019, for attending the trial of Pastor Ramón Rigal and wife Ayda Espósito, charged with homeschooling their children to prevent the state from indoctrinating them with Marxism. Homeschooling in any way is illegal in Cuba and both Rigal and Espósito spent two years and a year and a half, respectively, in prison for the crime of “acts against the normal development of a minor.”
Police arrested Quiñones, who writes for the independent outlet Cubanet, at the Guantánamo court where the trial took place for his presence at the trial in an attempt to write about the lack of due process and violation of the rights of the parents to teach their children the family faith of Protestant Christianity.
The ICC’s chief prosecutor was sanctioned based on the court’s “illegitimate attempts to subject Americans to its jurisdiction,” said U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
The United States sanctioned two top officials at the International Criminal Court, which U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in announcing the move on Wednesday, called a “thoroughly broken and corrupt institution.”
ICC chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda and Phakiso Mochochoko, head of The Hague court’s Jurisdiction, Complementarity and Cooperation Division, were sanctioned for the court’s “illegitimate attempts to subject Americans to its jurisdiction,” Pompeo told reporters at the U.S. State Department.

The State Department has designated China’s Confucius Institute a foreign mission of Beijing, saying the center is an engine for Chinese propaganda efforts in the U.S.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday that the Confucius Institute U.S. Center, a Chinese government-funded program that focuses on teaching Chinese language and culture across the globe, is “an entity advancing Beijing’s global propaganda and malign influence campaign on U.S. campuses and K-12 classrooms” and is working to expand the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) “global influence.”
The designation of the Confucius Institute, which has branches on college campuses in the U.S., formalizes the government’s conclusion that the organization is “substantially owned or effectively controlled” by a foreign government and mandates it follow administrative requirements that reflect those for other diplomatic missions like embassies and consulates.

Appearing on a recent episode of the Fox News program “Bill Hemmer Reports,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told viewers that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) knew about person-to-person transmission of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) long before it told the rest of the world about it.
Further, the CCP conspired with the World Health Organization (WHO), or rather “was co-opted” to quote Pompeo, into likewise hiding this knowledge for the purpose of fulfilling the goals and agenda of communist China with its global plandemic.
“[I]t is the case that the Chinese Communist Party was aware of human-to-human transmission before they shared this with the world,” Pompeo is quoted as saying.
“And that the World Health Organization itself was co-opted into the same effort to deny the world the knowledge it needed to respond to this threat, to this threat from the virus that emanated from Wuhan, China.”
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly claimed that the head of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, had been secretly “bought” by China, in comments to UK politicians.
Pompeo, who is visiting the UK this week, reportedly made the remarks in a private meeting with British members of Parliament in London on Tuesday, according to the The Daily Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald and The Guardian.
Pompeo said that he had seen US intelligence showing Ghebreyesus was “bought by the Chinese government” in a deal to secure the job.
Pompeo reportedly said: “When push came to shove, when it really mattered to us, when there was a pandemic in China, Dr Tedros — who was hook line and sinker bought by the Chinese government — and I can’t say more but I can tell you I’m saying this on informed intelligence.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has confirmed Washington is considering a ban on Chinese social media apps, including the ultra-popular TikTok, apparently inspired by a similar ban in India and Australia’s threat to do the same.
Speaking with Fox News, Pompeo affirmed “we’re certainly looking at” banning TikTok and other Chinese apps, following the lead of India, which banned 59 Chinese apps after border skirmishes with Beijing, and Australia, which has threatened to do the same.
Americans should download the apps “only if you want your information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party,” he smirked.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged Sunday that there is “enormous evidence” that the coronavirus originated and leaked from the Wuhan Institute of virology, with more intelligence document leaks further pointing to a Chinese cover up.
Appearing on ABC’s “This Week,” Pompeo stressed that the US investigation is turning up significant findings that indicate the virus did not originate at a wet market, but stemmed from scientists working with virus samples in the lab.
“There’s enormous evidence that that’s where this began. We’ve said from the beginning that this was a virus that originated in Wuhan, China. We took a lot of grief for that from the outset. But I think the whole world can see now.” Pompeo stated.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo slammed the WHO, and its director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Thursday.
Pompeo said that the organisation has “failed in its mission,” and noted that Tedros “traveled to China and then declined to declare it a pandemic until everyone in the world knew that was already true.”
Elsewhere during the interview with Fox News, Pompeo said “It’s unfortunate, this is not the first time there has been a virus go around the world from inside of China and it’s not the first on the WHO has failed in its mission.”
Defending the US government’s decision to halt funding for the WHO, and to investigate the Chinese bio-labs in Wuhan, Pompeo said “We have an obligation to the American people to do our best to make sure that we fix that, that would prevent those thing from ever happening again.”
Update (0855ET): Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News on Wednesday that the US knows that the pandemic began in Wuhan, but that China still refuses to disclose information about their facilities and is engaging in ‘classic communist disinformation.’
He added that the CCP must be held accountable.
A US government analysis leaked to the Washington Times concludes that the Wuhan Institute of Virology or the Chinese CDC is the “most likely” source of the COVID-19 pandemic which has killed over 200,000 people worldwide in roughly four months.
