Some people are advertising stickers of gun makers’ logos to sell guns on Facebook, in violation of the company’s marketplace policies.
A new investigation by The Wall Street Journal found listings that appeared to advertise stickers promoting gun makers such as Ruger. The Journal said that when it contacted the sellers, they said they actually intended to sell guns.
A Mississippi seller posted a $450 sticker sporting the Glock logo and asked interested buyers to message them privately for more details. When The Journal contacted the seller privately, he said he was really selling a .40-caliber pistol.
Three other sellers told The Journal that they were indeed selling guns, not stickers. The newspaper said it also found more than 40 results for “gun sticker” and “stickers” that included photos of gun makers’ logos.
Cuyahoga County — which houses Cleveland, Ohio — has created a hotline so that people can tattle on their neighbors for not wearing masks. Ironically, the county executive claims that they “want people to [wear masks] voluntarily.”
Cuyahoga County has taken Ohio governor Mike DeWine’s mask order to the next level by establishing a hotline that allows people to report others for not wearing what is now considered proper attire in the new era of the Chinese coronavirus, according to a report by Cleveland.com.
The report added that the governor’s mask order will largely rely upon complaints filed by the public, rather than proactive policing.
“This is not intended to be going out and finding people not wearing masks,” insisted Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish in an announcement on Friday. “We want people to wear their masks — we want people to do it voluntarily.”
Thousands of unemployed Spaniards are being recruited to join a civilian task force which will patrol beaches this summer to enforce ‘social distancing’ and other coronavirus-related ‘safety’ measures.
A new program announced by the government of Spain’s autonomous Andalucia region calls for the hiring of 3,000 residents to become “beach control assistants” who will “monitor the Andalusian coasts within a 2020 Safe Beach Employment Plan,” the Junta de Andalucia explained in a statement.
“These assistants will carry out information work on the access control and capacity of the beaches, will ensure compliance with the measures contained in the contingency plan of each municipality and will inform users who access the beach of the notices and communications that are made by the competent bodies in matters of emergencies and civil protection.”

The Italian government announced intentions Sunday to create an army of social distancing snitches, saying it will recruit 60,000 people to monitor their friends and neighbours’ activities and make sure they are adhering to social distancing policies.
Reports indicate that the government will reach out especially to the unemployed for the roles, in particular those who have applied for benefits recently.
It wants them to become “civic assistants”, who will report infractions on the use of face masks and other state ordered rules in the wake of the coronavirus lockdown.
The informants will not be given uniforms or badges, and will simply be embedded within the population, meaning anyone could be a government snitch.
It’s not unprecedented in Italy, given that Rome mayor Virginia Raggi has employed a website where Italians can inform on their neighbors if they see them breaking social distancing rules.
Police in Toledo, Ohio, were forced to give people a different number to report citizens who were “not social distancing” after 911 lines were flooded with calls.
“If you have a concern about people not social distancing at bars and restaurants, please call the Lucas County Health Department at 419-213-4161 extension 4,” states a tweet from the Toledo Police Department.

Over the weekend the chief executive in charge of the 3rd largest county in America launched a “Snitch” website to encourage residents of Southeast Texas to rat out their fellow citizens for violating the stay-at-home orders.
After Lina posted the authoritarian Tweet the negative responses to it were widespread.
Much like NYC’s “Snitch line”, the snitch-website appears to have gone offline in less than 24 hours, possibly as a result of thousands of social media users encouraging people to file fake reports on the website.

For those that wondered if Americans would be willing to report on their neighbors on a widespread basis during a major crisis, you now have your answer.
All over the country, calls have been pouring in to authorities from “concerned citizens” that are quite eager to point a finger at their neighbors for violating the coronavirus lockdowns.
In fact, it has been reported that some very nosy people in the state of California were actually calling 911 to report that their neighbors were coughing inside their own homes.

Acting on a tip from a 9-1-1 caller, the Geauga County sheriff said they found a barn full of close to 100 people when they arrived.
“When we got there, there was a barn full of people, ” Geauga Sheriff Scott Hildenbrand detailed. “Some of them ran. There was one that was too intoxicated to run and that person had to be transported by ambulance.”
Police say they arrested one person, charging them with disorderly conduct, and another for violating the order, while two minors were also charged for underage drinking.
People reacted to the launch of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s coronavirus snitch hotline by flooding it with dick pics and Hitler memes.
The Mayor launched the service on Saturday to encourage New Yorkers to report people who violate social distancing rules.
However, the response didn’t quite go as planned as it was deluged by trolls seeking to stick the figurative middle finger up at the Stasi-like nature of the hotline.
“An NYPD source said that “dick pic” photos of real penises have also been texted to 311, and a caller phoned in a tip that de Blasio was seen performing oral sex on someone “in an alleyway behind a 7-11” early Sunday,” reports the New York Post.

A neighbor called the police on a family because they were outside on their front yard weightlifting during the coronavirus lockdown.
That’s according to writer and podcaster Jack Murphy, who revealed what happened in a tweet that went viral.
“My neighbor just called the cops on my family for…..wait for it….weight lifting,” he tweeted. “We were cleaning and pressing on our own front walk that leads to the front steps. Not the public sidewalk. And. She. Called. The. Cops. Quarantine making people nuts.”
